Jun Terauchi

Jun Terauchi is a seasoned pharmaceutical R&D leader with extensive experience spanning medicinal chemistry, central nervous system drug discovery, research strategy, and management at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company. He has also held research and management roles at University of Pittsburgh and Ono Pharmaceutical Co.. Since 2017, he has served as Chairman of the Japan Microbiome Consortium, driving national microbiome initiatives and cross-sector collaboration. He currently represents R&D for AMED’s microbiome drug discovery program and has held leadership positions across prominent Japanese life sciences and pharmaceutical organizations, contributing to the advancement of innovation and research strategy throughout the industry.
